I believe a beautiful home should do more than photograph well. It should make daily routines easier, solve frustrating problems, and feel unmistakably personal.
Wilber Designs provides interior design, renovation planning, and project management throughout the Kansas City area. I help clients define their style, use their homes more effectively, and navigate the decisions involved in transforming a space.
Meet Caroline
My love of homes started with Candice Olson’s Divine Design. I was drawn to her ability to transform spaces while keeping the people who lived there at the center of the design. Her work showed me that a home could be both beautiful and functional—and that thoughtful design could make everyday life better.
That balance still shapes the way I design today.
I especially enjoy renovations and challenging layouts. When clients have lived with a space for years, it can be hard to imagine another solution. A fresh perspective can reveal new possibilities. Those are the challenges I love solving.
Design That Begins With You
Your home should reflect your taste, not mine. I begin by learning what you are naturally drawn to—even if you do not yet have the words to describe it. A detailed design-style questionnaire helps identify your preferences, priorities, and comfort level with color, materials, finishes, and investment.
I work across many design styles and use your responses as a foundation for creating a direction that feels cohesive, personal, and right for your home. Whether your taste is traditional, modern, transitional, or somewhere in between, the finished space should feel unmistakably like you.
More Than Making Things Look Pretty
Good design is visual, but it is also practical. I consider how you move through the space, what needs to be stored, where your family gathers, and where there is room for improvement.
I want you to feel confident that each selection enhances your home’s function, quality, or overall experience.
Support From the First Idea to the Final Detail
Renovations involve countless decisions, moving pieces, and unexpected questions. I help make the process more organized and less overwhelming.
I stay involved through planning, construction, and installation—communicating the design vision, managing details, anticipating problems, and finding practical solutions. You do not have to carry every decision or coordinate every detail alone.
My goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and confident from our first conversation through the final installation. When the work is complete, I want you to walk into your home and feel an immediate sense of relief and recognition: everything works better, everything feels intentional, and the investment feels worthwhile.
Let’s Make Your Home Work Better
Whether you are planning a major renovation or rethinking an existing layout, I would love to hear about your project. I can also help bring clarity and cohesion to a home that does not yet feel complete.
